Canyon Verde plants gardens that take their cues from the chaparral around Escondido: sages and buckwheats on the sunny slopes, toyon and coffeeberry where there's shade, agaves where nothing else wants to grow. Lena started the company after years of watching thirsty lawns fight this climate and lose. The gardens we plant settle in, feed the birds, and ask for less every year.
