What we do

  • Braids

    01

Scissor and clipper work shaped to how your hair actually grows, checked in the mirror before the cape comes off.

  • Fades & tapers

    02

Skin, low, mid or high, blended by hand so the fade disappears instead of stopping at a line.

  • Beard trims

    03

Shaped with shears and clippers, cheek and neck lines finished with a razor for a clean edge that holds.

  • Hot towel shaves

    04

Steamed towel, brush lather, and a straight razor for a close shave with a cold towel finish.

  • Kids' cuts

    05

Quick, calm cuts for younger clients, with the mirror close by so they can watch the whole thing.

  • Color & styling

    06

Color and styling work finished to match the cut underneath it, not layered on as an afterthought.

Cut for the regrowth

Every cut is shaped to still look right weeks later, not just fresh out of the chair.

Checked in the mirror

You see the cut at each stage and approve it before the cape comes off.

Consistency, visit to visit

We keep track of what worked last time so a repeat visit means a repeat result.

A shop built around the regulars

Awa's Hair Braiding runs on the idea that a good cut is a conversation before it's a pair of clippers. Every visit starts with a look at how your hair actually behaves during the week, not just how it sits for the walk to the mirror. Fades get blended by hand, guard by guard, and necklines get cleaned up with a razor so the edges hold their shape. Kids get the same patience as anyone else in the chair. Come with a photo or come with nothing — either way you leave knowing why the cut was shaped the way it was.

“I got medium knotless braids and my hair looks absolutely beautiful! It only took 2 hours to get in and out and I will definitely be coming back!!!”

“Great atmosphere. Chairs are spaced well. Beautiful music. Braiders are kind. Owner Awa helped me switch styles, I forgot to bring hair! Would recommend!”
Marlene · ★★★★★ · Google · last month
“It was such a nice experience. I don’t get my hair done often and I will say I felt very taken care of. My hair looks really good. I showed a picture of what I wanted and pretty much got just that.”

good to know

Do I need an appointment?
Booking ahead gets you a chair without waiting around, and walk-ins are taken when a chair is free. If you're coming from further out, call first and we'll tell you honestly what to expect that day.
I don't know the name of the cut I want — is that a problem?
No. Tell us what bothers you about your current cut and what your week actually looks like. Naming the style is our job; describing what you want day to day is all we need from you.
Do you cut children's hair?
Yes. We go at their pace, keep the clippers quiet, and let them watch the process in the mirror. Most kids who start out nervous end up picking their own chair the next time.

You just saw the whole thing

Awa's Hair Braiding’s website is built and ready

It's built, and it can go live on your own domain. See something you'd change? A service, a photo, a sentence: tell us and we change it, before launch and after.

Launch this website: $0 today

$0 today · $59/mo from day 30 · cancel online any time · or pay $299 once and $49/mo (refundable for 30 days)

What happens after you launch

  1. TodayYou pay nothing. The site is live within the minute at its own address; the receipt has the link.
  2. Same dayWe connect your domain with you, wherever it lives (GoDaddy, Squarespace, anywhere), or register one in your name for $25/yr.
  3. Any timeEmail a change in plain English, like new prices or new photos, and we make it. No limit on edits, no hourly billing. New pages are optional extras.
  4. 30 daysNot for you? Cancel online before day 30 and you never pay a cent. Keep it, and the $59/mo starts then. We email you before the first charge.

Before you decide

Do I actually own the site?

Yes. You own your site and your domain. Cancel anytime, keep everything. If you ever leave, we hand it all over, free. That's the deal in one sentence, and it's printed at checkout too.

Can I get my money back?

On the $0-today plan there's nothing to get back at first: nothing is charged for 30 days, so cancel before then and you pay nothing. After that you can cancel anytime; a month already billed isn't refunded. If you paid $299 to launch instead, that $299 is refundable for 30 days, no questions asked.

What's the monthly fee for?

It's $59 a month (or $49 if you paid $299 to launch), and it covers hosting, security, and unlimited edits to the pages you have: a new phone number, new prices, new photos, new wording. Email us and we make the change, with no hourly billing. New pages, like a page for another town you serve, are optional add-ons, and you see the price before you buy.

How did you get my information?

From public records and your public Google listing. The records are your state contractor license (the CSLB publishes it), your city or county business registry, and Overture Maps, an openly licensed map dataset. Your Google listing gives us things like your hours, photos, rating and reviews; ratings and reviews appear as they do on Google, with attribution, never edited or invented. The words on the site are ours, written from those facts, so tell us anything we got wrong and we fix it. Your email came from a business-data company we pay; we don't run software that scrapes websites for addresses. We've never sold or shared the list, and we're not going to.
