Services

Everything under our care

Landscape renovation

Design and build in one contract — grading, planting, irrigation and hardscape planned together so the yard reads as one space, not four projects.

This is the project reviewers describe: a full renovation of hardscape, planting, sprinklers and lighting handled by one crew from concept to finish. We plan the paver lines, plant beds and drip runs together up front, so nothing gets patched around later. What you see is a yard that was designed once, not assembled in pieces.

Drought-tolerant planting

Plant beds built around what actually holds up in San Diego heat and dry months, arranged for a clean, modern look rather than a wild one.

We choose plants for this climate first — species that take the dry months without constant watering — then arrange them for the contemporary, tidy look the yard is going for. Beds get proper soil prep and spacing so plants fill in without crowding or dying back in year two.

Irrigation & drip conversion

Sprinkler heads swapped for drip lines where they make sense, so water goes to the roots instead of the sidewalk.

Old spray systems waste water on hardscape and turf that doesn't need it. We convert planted beds to drip lines run to each plant, and rework the valve zones so lawn, beds and turf areas water separately at the rate they actually need — the same irrigation work called out in the full-yard renovations we've done.

Hardscape & pathways

Concrete pavers, paths and retaining walls, laid and poured with attention to grading so water moves the right direction.

Hardscape is the backbone of the yards we build — concrete paver patios, walkways, and retaining walls rebuilt where an old one has failed. We grade every surface so water drains away from the house, then finish with clean paver or concrete lines that match the rest of the property.

Outdoor lighting

Landscape lighting run along paths, beds and walls so the yard still reads clean after dark.

Lighting gets planned alongside the hardscape and planting, not bolted on after — fixtures along paths, beds and walls to keep the yard readable and safe at night. Wiring is run before turf or pavers go down so nothing gets dug up twice.

Monthly maintenance

Ongoing upkeep after the install — pruning, weeding, and irrigation checks so the yard still looks like the day it was finished.

A new yard still needs someone watching it. Maintenance visits cover pruning, weeding, and checking that drip lines and sprinkler zones are still doing their job as plants grow in and seasons change, so the design holds up rather than drifting back toward overgrown.

Frank and his crew, on your job site

California Landscape Development is run by Frank, who's on the jobs himself rather than just sending a crew. The work leans contemporary and low-maintenance: river rock and concrete paver lines, clean plant beds, artificial turf where real grass would fight the climate and lose. Reviewers describe him as calm under pressure and willing to solve a problem creatively rather than default to the standard answer — a retaining wall rebuilt, a full yard renovation with irrigation and lighting, a concrete project finished on time. Licensed under California contractor #1117531, the shop takes on design-build work start to finish, then keeps yards running with regular maintenance after the install is done.

  • Designed before it's dug

Planting, irrigation and hardscape get planned together before any ground is broken, so nothing is patched around later.

  • Water goes where roots are

Irrigation is run and zoned by plant type, not left as one blanket sprinkler schedule for the whole yard.

  • Frank walks the job

The person quoting the work is present on site, not handing it to a crew he never sees.

  • Do you handle both design and the actual construction?

Yes — renovations we've done cover hardscape, planting, irrigation and lighting under one contract, planned together rather than as separate hires. That's how the yard ends up reading as one space instead of four unrelated projects.

  • Can you convert my sprinklers to drip without redoing the whole yard?

Irrigation work can be done on its own. We look at the existing valve zones and swap spray heads for drip lines in the beds that need it, without touching hardscape or turf that's working fine.

  • How do you handle a retaining wall that's failing?

We assess why it failed — usually drainage or a foundation issue — before rebuilding, so the new wall doesn't repeat the same problem. That's the kind of tear-down-and-replace work reviewers have described us doing.

Can I get my money back?

Yes. The $299 launch fee is refundable for 30 days, no questions asked, and the $49 a month can be cancelled at any time.

What's the $49 a month for?

Hosting, security, and unlimited edits to the pages you have: a new phone number, new prices, new photos, new wording. Email us and we make the change, with no hourly billing. New pages, like a page for another town you serve, are optional add-ons, and you see the price before you buy.

How did you get my information?

From public records and your public Google listing. The records are your state contractor license (the CSLB publishes it), your city or county business registry, and Overture Maps, an openly licensed map dataset. Your Google listing gives us things like your hours, photos, rating and reviews; ratings and reviews appear as they do on Google, with attribution, never edited or invented. The words on the site are ours, written from those facts, so tell us anything we got wrong and we fix it. Your email came from a business-data company we pay; we don't run software that scrapes websites for addresses. We've never sold or shared the list, and we're not going to.
