What we do
Color consultations
01Color and highlights built around a real consultation, so what leaves the chair matches what was promised at the start.
Cuts & styling
02A cut shaped to your hair's texture and your routine, finished the way you'd actually wear it out the door.
Balayage
03Hand-painted highlights that grow out softly, placed to work with your natural color rather than against it.
Blowouts
04A finished, salon-smooth style for a day you need your hair to hold up — event, meeting, or just because.
Keratin & smoothing
05A smoothing treatment for hair that fights frizz or takes too long to manage, cutting down daily styling time.
Special-occasion styling
06Updos and event styling for weddings, parties, and photos, built to hold through the whole event.
Not sure what to ask for? Call — we’ll talk it through.
Call to bookOne stylist, not a rotation
You book and return to the same stylist, so your hair's history stays with one person.
Consultation before the color
Formulation and technique are discussed with you before any color goes on.
Style shown in the mirror
You see the finished result and can ask for adjustments before you leave the chair.

The storefront with the db monogram, and what's behind it
Denise Barrow Salon sits behind a black awning and a painted stucco facade that reads more Spanish Revival main street than strip-mall salon, with the db monogram lit above the door. Inside, stylists build relationships that run for years, not visits — clients who found a colorist a decade ago and never looked elsewhere, a boutique of clothes and accessories tucked alongside the styling chairs. The work here starts with listening: what your hair actually does, what you want it to do next, and who's going to be the one doing it.
“Denise Barrow has been doing my hair, coloring, highlights and haircut for around 6 years. I traveled from Las Vegas to her salon in CA. I love the way she does my hair! I also get a facial.”
“Arely has been my person for more than a decade...color and cut...she is the best. All of the stylists are incredible. And the atmosphere is friendly and warm.”
“This has been our favorite hair salon for over 12 years! Once a stylist we had left and we left with him for a few years, but have been back for over a year.”

good to know
- How do I pick which stylist to book with?
- Tell us what you're looking for when you call — cut, color, or a specific technique — and we'll match you with a stylist whose focus fits. Many clients end up staying with the same stylist for years once they find the right match.
- How does a color consultation work?
- Before any color is mixed, your stylist looks at your natural base, your color history, and the result you want, then talks through the approach with you. The formulation happens after that conversation, not before it.
- Can I book for a wedding or event?
- Yes — special-occasion styling is planned around your specific day, including what you're wearing and how long the style needs to hold. It's best to book ahead so your stylist has time to plan the look with you.
