A cut that still falls right in six weeks

What we do
Beauty treatments
01A cut planned around how your hair actually grows and how you actually style it, not just how it looks wet in the chair.
Color & highlights
02Full color or highlights built from your natural base, so the tone reads as intentional in daylight, not just under salon light.
Balayage
03Hand-painted color that grows out soft, with no hard line at the root when you skip a few months between visits.
Blowouts
04A finished, styled blowout for a night out or just a Tuesday that needs to look like you tried.
Keratin & smoothing
05A smoothing treatment for frizz and unruly texture, done to soften — not erase — your natural pattern.
Special-occasion styling
06Updos and styled looks for weddings, photos, or any day where your hair needs to hold from morning to night.
Not sure what to ask for? Call — we’ll talk it through.
Call to bookTalk first, cut second
Every service opens with a look at your hair and a conversation about your routine before any tool touches it.
Checked before you leave
Color and cuts are reviewed with you in the mirror before the appointment is called finished.
Built for the weeks after
Cuts and color are planned around how your hair grows out, not just how it looks the day you leave.

One chair, one conversation, before anything gets cut
Dolled Up by Sherry is a small salon built around a simple habit: talk before you touch the hair. Every appointment starts with a real look at what you're working with — texture, growth pattern, how you actually style it on a weekday morning — before color goes on or scissors come out. The room stays quiet and close, one client at a time, so the work gets the attention it needs instead of being split across three chairs at once. Come with a photo, or come with nothing and describe how you want mornings to feel.
How a first visit runs
(858) 774-7714Book it your way
Call or message — say what you're after and when you can come.
Start with a consultation
A few minutes to talk it through before anything starts. A photo of what you want helps more than words.
Nothing is a surprise
What's being done is checked with you as it goes, not revealed at the end.
Leave knowing how to keep it
Ask how to care for it at home and when to come back. That's part of the visit, not an extra.
Before your first visit
Four things worth knowing — wherever you book
True anywhere, this studio included. A good first visit starts with a conversation.
A consultation costs nothing
Any good appointment starts with questions. If the work starts before the questions do, that's your answer.
Bring the photo
A picture of what you want beats any description of it. Save two or three.
Ask what's going on your skin
Tints, dyes, glues and gels can all cause reactions. It's a normal question to ask what's being used — and whether a patch test makes sense.
Book the person, not just the place
Consistency is the whole game. When you find someone whose work you like, ask for them by name next time.

good to know
- How do I know what to ask for if I don't know the technical terms?
- You don't need the vocabulary. Describe what bothers you about your current hair and how you want your mornings to go — naming the technique is our job. The consultation exists so you never have to walk in with the right words already figured out.
- Will balayage or highlights match the photo I bring in?
- The photo is a starting point, not a guarantee, since placement depends on your natural color and how your hair takes lightener. We talk through what's realistic for your base before starting, so the result is close to the inspiration and true to your hair.
- How do I book an appointment?
- Reach out and we'll find a time that works, then walk through what you want before your visit so the appointment itself moves smoothly. Consultations happen either on the phone beforehand or in the chair, whichever you prefer.
