Services
What we work on
- 01
Transmission diagnostics
A full transmission workup — fluid, codes, and a road test — before we tell you what's actually wrong and what it'll take to fix it.
- 02
Engine repair
From a rough idle to a car that won't stay running, we trace the problem to its source instead of swapping parts and hoping.
- 03
Brakes
Pads, rotors, and lines inspected and replaced, with the worn parts set aside so you can see how much life was left.
- 04
Oil & fluids
Oil, coolant, and transmission fluid changed on schedule, with the old fluid checked for metal and burnt smell before it's tossed.
- 05
Batteries & electrical
Dead battery, dim lights, a dash warning that won't clear — tested with a meter, not a guess, before anything gets replaced.
- 06
Smog & inspection
Testing and the repair work to pass, done under one roof so a failed smog check doesn't mean starting over somewhere else.

Show the part
Whatever we replace, we set the old part aside so you can see what actually failed.
Diagnose before we quote
We road test and check codes before naming a repair, so the estimate follows the facts.
One shop, whole car
If the transmission checks out fine, we look at the engine, brakes, or electrical system next instead of guessing again.
A garage that opens the case before it opens your wallet
Energy Transmissions is a working shop — corrugated metal, a concrete floor that's seen its share of fluid, and transmission parts stacked wherever there's room. Enrique, Marta, and Jose run it the way you'd want a shop run: they pull the part, show you what failed, and explain why before anything gets bolted back together. Transmissions are the specialty, but a car is a system, so the same crew handles the brakes, the engine, and the electrical when your transmission problem turns out to be something else entirely.

“Give Enrique a call if you need comprehensive repairs for your car's transmission. Realize that it takes many hours to repair or replace your transmission.”

Questions
How do you know it's the transmission and not something else?
We pull codes, check fluid condition, and take the car for a road test before naming the problem. A slipping transmission and a bad engine mount can feel similar from the driver's seat, so we confirm with the car, not with a guess.
My transmission quote from another shop seemed high. Should I get a second opinion?
That's reasonable. Bring the car in and we'll run our own diagnostic and show you what we find. You'll have two sets of eyes on the same problem before deciding anything.
How long will a transmission repair take?
It depends on what the diagnostic turns up — a fluid or seal issue moves faster than a rebuild. Once we've identified the actual cause, we'll walk you through what the repair involves before we start.
