What we do
Haircuts
01Scissor and clipper work built around how your hair actually grows, checked in the mirror before you're done.
Fades & tapers
02Skin, low, mid or high, blended by hand so the line disappears instead of stopping short.
Beard trims
03Shaped with shears and clippers, lines cleaned up so the beard holds its shape between visits.
Hot towel shaves
04A steamed towel, warm lather, and a careful razor pass for the closest shave your face gets.
Kids' cuts
05A calmer pace for younger customers, with the same attention to getting the cut right.
Color & styling
06Styling and color work finished the same day, done to match how you'll actually wear it.
Not sure what to ask for? Call — we’ll talk it through.
Call to bookTold, not surprised
You approve the cut in the mirror before the cape comes off, not after.
Your cut on record
We keep track of what worked last time so you don't have to re-explain it.
Built to grow out well
Cuts are shaped to your hair's own growth pattern, not just how it looks the day you leave.

The kind of shop where they remember your cut
Happy Barber is a straightforward strip-mall shop: black vinyl chairs, dark cabinetry, chrome fixtures, a laminate counter kept tidy between clients. Nothing about the room is trying to be more than it is, and that's on purpose — the work is the point. Regulars come back because the barber remembers what they asked for last time, not because they have to re-explain the cut every visit. Walk in with a photo or a vague idea, and leave with a cut you don't have to think about again until it grows out.
How a first visit runs
(858) 273-4361Book it your way
Call, text, or walk in — say what you're after and when you can come.
Start with a consultation
A couple of minutes in the chair before anything happens. Photos of what you want help more than words.
Nothing is a surprise
Length, fade, finish — checked with you as it goes, not revealed at the end.
Leave knowing how to keep it
Ask how to hold the shape at home and when to come back. That's part of the visit, not an extra.
Before your first visit
Four things worth knowing — whatever chair you choose
True anywhere, this shop included. A good first visit starts with a conversation, not with clippers.
A consultation costs nothing
Any good chair starts with questions. If the tools come out before the questions do, that's your answer.
Bring the photo
A picture of the cut you want beats any description of it. Save two or three.
Color needs a patch test
Skin reacts. A test a day or two ahead is the standard, not the exception.
Book the person, not the shop
Consistency is the whole game. When you find a cut you like, ask for the same chair next time.

good to know
- Do I need an appointment?
- Booking ahead gets you a chair without waiting around, though the shop can also take walk-ins when a chair is free. Call ahead if you want to be sure of your spot.
- How do I explain the cut I want?
- You don't need the exact name for it. Tell your barber what bothers you about your current cut and how you wear your hair day to day — they'll take it from there and confirm the plan before starting.
- Do you cut kids' hair?
- Yes. Kids' cuts are paced to the child, kept calm, and given the same attention as any other cut in the shop.
