Our
standards
- 01Same shop cars come back to years later
- 02Worn parts shown, not just described
- 03Diagnosis before any repair starts
- 04AC work with a long track record
Show, don't tell
We put the worn part in your hand before we replace it, every time.
Diagnose first
No repair starts until we've confirmed what's actually broken.
Plain answers
We explain what's urgent and what can wait, in terms that don't require a mechanic's vocabulary.
The shop people come back to years later
Ice Auto Air works on the cars people actually depend on: the commuter, the errand runner, the one with too many miles to trade in. A Google reviewer wrote that an AC repair done here was "still running solid" long after the fact, and that's the standard we hold every job to, not just the cold-air ones. We walk you under the hood, point at what's actually worn, and explain what's urgent versus what can wait a paycheck. You leave knowing what happened to your car and why.

Say what the car's doing
A call or a text. The sound, the light, when it happens — plain words are enough.
Get eyes on it before a number
A real estimate comes after the car's been looked at. You approve it before any wrench moves.
The work gets done
What was agreed, at the price that was agreed. Anything new that turns up mid-job gets approved the same way first.
Pick it up and look it over
Ask what was replaced, and ask for the old parts back — that's a normal thing to ask.
Before any shop touches your car
Four flags worth knowing — whatever shop you choose
Ask these of anyone quoting your car — us included. A good answer costs nothing; a bad one saves you the whole repair.
A diagnosis over the phone
Nobody can hear a wheel bearing through a phone. A real answer starts with the car in the shop.
An estimate that can't be itemized
Parts, labor, and what each one fixes. A single lump number hides what you're paying for.
Work started without a yes
Nothing gets replaced before you approve it. “We went ahead and…” is the sentence to walk away from.
Hesitation about the old parts
Asking to see what came off your car is normal. The reaction to that question tells you plenty.

Questions
How do I know if a repair is urgent or can wait?
We tell you directly, based on what we find during diagnosis. Some worn parts are a safety issue now; others are fine for months. We separate the two so you can decide with real information, not pressure.
Will you show me what's actually wrong with my car?
Yes. We walk you through what we found, often with the worn or failed part in hand, before any repair happens. If a code came up on the scanner, we explain what it means for your specific car.
Can you fix my AC even if it's been recharged elsewhere before?
We start by pressure-testing the system to find where it's actually leaking or failing, rather than just adding refrigerant again. That's the difference between a repair that lasts and one that needs redoing next summer.
