What we do
Cut & color
01A conversation about what you want your hair to do, followed by a cut and color built around your actual routine, not a trend board.
Cuts & styling
02Shaped to how your hair falls and how you actually style it at home, checked before you leave the chair.
Color & highlights
03Full color and dimensional highlights mixed to your skin tone and hair history, not a shade card.
Balayage
04Hand-painted, soft-edged color designed to fade out gently instead of leaving a hard regrowth line.
Blowouts
05A finished, styled blowout for a night out, a shoot, or just wanting your hair to behave for a day.
Keratin & smoothing
06A smoothing treatment for hair that's frizzy or hard to manage, cutting down daily styling time.
Not sure what to ask for? Call — we’ll talk it through.
Call to bookTalk before we touch
Every color or cut starts with a conversation about what you actually want, before a single tool comes out.
Checked in the mirror
You see and approve the cut or color at each stage, not only once the cape comes off.
Your history, on file
We keep track of what formulas and cuts worked for you so repeat visits build on the last one.

The room stays quiet so the work can be exact
Kaya Salon sits behind a wall of vertical wood slats, concrete underfoot, white brick and dark wood shelving around the chairs. Nothing about the space is loud, and that's on purpose — color formulas take attention, and a balayage that's meant to grow out softly needs a stylist who isn't rushing to the next appointment. Clients come back to the same chair for the same reason: the cut they asked for is the cut they got, and the color matches what was promised in the consultation, not just what was mixed that day.

good to know
- How do I know what to ask for if I'm not sure what I want?
- You don't need the vocabulary. Come in and describe what frustrates you about your current color or cut and how much time you spend styling it — your stylist will translate that into a plan and walk you through it before starting.
- Will my balayage look natural as it grows out?
- That's the point of hand-painting it. Because the color is placed with soft, hand-blended edges instead of a hard line, it fades out gradually instead of leaving an obvious regrowth stripe at the root.
- Can I book with the same stylist every time?
- Yes — most clients do, and it's part of why the color and cut stay consistent visit to visit. Ask for the same stylist when you book and we'll keep your notes on file for the next appointment.
