Services
What we work on
- 01
Windshield replacement
A check-engine light or a strange noise gets traced to its actual source before we quote anything, with the part or reading shown to you.
- 02
Brakes
Pads, rotors, and lines inspected and replaced, with the worn parts set aside so you can see how much life was left.
- 03
Oil & fluids
Oil, coolant, transmission and brake fluid checked and changed on the schedule your car actually needs, not a flat number.
- 04
Engine repair
From a rough idle to a bigger internal issue, traced to the source and explained before any teardown begins.
- 05
AC service
Weak or warm airflow checked for refrigerant level, leaks, and compressor function before we recharge anything.
- 06
Smog & inspection
Testing and prep to get your car through California smog, with any failing item explained before you leave.
Our
standards
- 01Worn parts shown to you, not just described
- 02Diagnosis comes before the quote
- 03Serving El Cajon and nearby communities
- 04Straight talk on what can wait
Show, don't just tell
You see the part we're replacing and why it failed before we do the work.
Diagnose first, quote second
We identify the actual cause before pricing a repair, not after.
Your call, either way
We separate what's urgent from what can wait so you decide what gets done now.
We put the worn part in your hand
Mark's Auto Glass Service Inc. works on cars the way a shop should: find the actual problem first, show it to you, then talk about what it costs to fix. A check-engine light or a grinding brake pad usually has one real cause and a few things that aren't it, and separating those takes time under the car, not a guess off a chart. We'd rather tell you a repair can wait than talk you into one that can't. Most of what we see is straightforward once it's on the lift — the trick is looking at it directly instead of around it.

Say what happened
A chip or a crack, where it is, and the year, make and model. A photo helps.
Repair or replace, agreed first
Small chips can often be repaired; bigger damage means new glass. Which one, and the price, is settled before work starts.
The glass gets done
What was agreed, the way it was agreed.
Give the adhesive its time
Ask how long before the car is safe to drive, and how long before a car wash.
Before any glass work
Four things worth knowing — whoever you call
Ask these of anyone quoting your glass — us included.
Ask about camera recalibration
Many newer cars have safety cameras behind the windshield. Ask whether yours needs recalibrating after a replacement.
Ask what glass is being used
Factory and aftermarket glass can differ in fit and clarity. It's fine to ask which one is quoted.
Don't wait on a chip
Chips can spread into cracks with heat and bumps. Small ones are often repairable if they're caught early.
Ask about insurance
Some policies cover glass. Ask whether the shop can work with your insurer before you pay out of pocket.

Questions
Will you tell me if a repair can wait?
Yes. Once we've diagnosed the issue, we separate what needs attention now from what's safe to put off, and explain the difference so you can plan around it instead of guessing.
How do you figure out what's actually wrong?
We start with diagnostic testing and codes where relevant, then verify the finding by inspecting the part itself. We don't quote a repair until we've confirmed the cause, and we show you what we found.
How does scheduling work?
Book a time that works for you and we'll get your car into a bay then. If something turns out bigger than expected once we're inside it, we'll talk to you before continuing any further work.
