What we do
Panel upgrades
200-amp panel upgrades sized to what your home actually runs now, not what it ran when the panel went in.
Rewiring & troubleshooting
Tracing a tripping breaker, a dead outlet, or old aluminum wiring back to its actual cause instead of guessing.
EV charger installation
A dedicated circuit sized correctly for your charger and your panel, installed and inspected the right way.
Code corrections
Fixing the wiring issues that show up on a home inspection or insurance review before they become a bigger problem.
Whole-home surge protection
A surge protector installed at the panel to guard everything downstream from one bad spike.
Outlets, switches & fixtures
Adding, moving, or replacing outlets, switches, and light fixtures without leaving extra holes in the wall.

The panel gets opened only after the load gets counted
A house asks more of its wiring than it did twenty years ago — a heat pump here, an EV charger there, a kitchen full of appliances that didn't exist when the panel was installed. Mcc Electrical works through El Cajon and the surrounding area on that math: what the panel can carry, what a new circuit needs, and where code has moved since the last permit was pulled. The work is straightforward when it's done in that order — assess, explain, then open the panel — and that's the order we use on every job, from a single outlet to a full upgrade.
Load counted first
We calculate what your panel actually needs to carry before recommending any upgrade or new circuit.
Explained, not just done
You hear what's wrong and why, in plain terms, before any repair starts.
Permits pulled properly
Panel upgrades and circuit work are permitted and documented, not done off the books.
How do I know if I need a panel upgrade or just a repair?
It depends on what your panel is rated for versus what you're asking it to run. We check the panel's capacity against your current and planned loads — EV charger, HVAC, appliances — before recommending an upgrade instead of a smaller fix.
How fast can you get someone out for a tripping breaker?
Call and we'll walk through what's happening on the phone, then get you on the schedule — active safety issues get priority over routine work. We'd rather give a straight answer on the call than a guess in advance.
Will adding an EV charger overload my panel?
That's the first thing we check. A charger needs its own dedicated circuit, and if the panel doesn't have the capacity, that gets addressed before the charger goes in — not discovered afterward.
“I was absolutely shocked by how much we were paying to keep our home comfortable last summer. The team came out and tweaked our system, cleaning the coils and adjusting the fan speeds.”
“Very equipped people and quality work. The technician who handled our AC and heating repair was attentive, knowledgeable, and made us feel at ease.”
“Everything went smoothly from the first phone call to the completion of the emergency AC repair I requested.”
