What we work on
- 01
Diagnostics
Check-engine light, weird noise, or a dash warning you don't recognize — we find the actual cause before recommending any repair.
- 02
Brakes
Pads, rotors, and lines inspected and replaced as needed, with the worn parts shown to you before we close the hood.
- 03
Oil & fluids
Oil, coolant, transmission and brake fluid checked and changed on the schedule your car actually needs, not a generic sticker.
- 04
Engine repair
From belts and timing components to bigger internal issues, diagnosed first so you know what you're actually fixing.
- 05
AC service
Weak airflow or warm air on a hot drive gets traced to the actual cause — refrigerant, a leak, or a failing component.
- 06
Smog & inspection
Testing and repair work to get your car through inspection, with any failed component explained clearly beforehand.

Diagnose first
We identify the actual cause with equipment and inspection before recommending any repair or part.
Show the part
When we replace something, we show you the worn or failed part before the new one goes in.
Explain the choice
You hear what's urgent versus what can wait, in plain language, before deciding what to approve.
Say what the car's doing
A call or a text. The sound, the light, when it happens — plain words are enough.
Get eyes on it before a number
A real estimate comes after the car's been looked at. You approve it before any wrench moves.
The work gets done
What was agreed, at the price that was agreed. Anything new that turns up mid-job gets approved the same way first.
Pick it up and look it over
Ask what was replaced, and ask for the old parts back — that's a normal thing to ask.
Before any shop touches your car
Four flags worth knowing — whatever shop you choose
Ask these of anyone quoting your car — us included. A good answer costs nothing; a bad one saves you the whole repair.
A diagnosis over the phone
Nobody can hear a wheel bearing through a phone. A real answer starts with the car in the shop.
An estimate that can't be itemized
Parts, labor, and what each one fixes. A single lump number hides what you're paying for.
Work started without a yes
Nothing gets replaced before you approve it. “We went ahead and…” is the sentence to walk away from.
Hesitation about the old parts
Asking to see what came off your car is normal. The reaction to that question tells you plenty.
We show you the worn part before we replace it
Oceanview Service Center works on the cars people actually drive every day around San Diego, not showroom pieces. When something's wrong, we start with diagnostics, not guesses, and we walk you through what the tools found before anything gets ordered or replaced. If a part failed, you'll see it. If a repair can wait a few months, we'll tell you that too, and let you decide what to spend money on now versus later. The goal is a car you trust and a bill you understood before you signed off on it.

We work on cars from Point Loma to Bay Park

Questions
How do you figure out what's actually wrong with my car?
We start with diagnostic equipment to read what the car's systems are reporting, then confirm it with a physical inspection or test drive. You get a plain explanation of the cause, not just a part number, before any repair is recommended.
Will you tell me if something can wait?
Yes. Not every worn part needs fixing today. We separate what's urgent for safety or drivability from what's minor, so you can decide what to spend on now and what to plan for later.
How does scheduling work if I need to get in soon?
Call and describe what's going on with the car, and we'll work out timing based on how urgent it sounds. Noises, warning lights, and safety issues get prioritized ahead of routine maintenance.
