Questions
How do you decide if a transmission needs a rebuild or a replacement?
We open it up and look at what's actually worn — clutches, bands, seals, the case itself. That tells us whether a rebuild solves it or a used or remanufactured unit makes more sense. You hear the reasoning before we commit either way.
My car won't drive — can you still help?
Yes. If the transmission or another issue means the car can't be driven safely, we can arrange to have it towed to the shop. Call first so we know it's coming and what the symptoms were.
How long will diagnostics take?
It depends on what the car is telling us — a code might confirm quickly, while an intermittent shifting issue takes longer to isolate. We'd rather get it right than rush a guess, and we'll keep you posted as we go.
