What we do
Color consultations
01Color and highlights planned around your actual hair and upkeep, not a swatch you saw online, before a single foil goes in.
Cuts & styling
02A cut planned around how your hair actually falls and grows, with a style finish before you leave the chair.
Balayage
03Hand-painted color for a soft, grown-out look that doesn't leave a harsh line as it grows.
Blowouts
04A polished finish and shape for a night out, a meeting, or just a day you want your hair to behave.
Keratin & smoothing
05A smoothing treatment for frizz and unruly texture, so styling at home takes less time and less product.
Special-occasion styling
06Updos and styled looks for weddings, events, or portraits, built to hold for the hours you actually need.
Not sure what to ask for? Call — we’ll talk it through.
Call to bookConsultation before color
Every color or cut service starts with a conversation about your hair before any tools come out.
One stylist, one relationship
You can request the same stylist visit to visit, so they know your hair's history.
Shown, not just told
You see and approve the direction of a color or cut as it develops, not only at the end.

A studio built around listening first, cutting second
Salon Mint is a relaxed styling studio with a flower-petal pendant chandelier over the floor and painted wood and brick around the edges — the kind of room that feels more like a friend's place than a chain. Clients come back to specific stylists here, not just the address, because the first conversation about your hair actually shapes what happens next. Whether it's a trim you can maintain yourself or a full color change, the goal is the same: you leave knowing why it looks the way it does, and how to keep it that way.
“Danielle made me love my hair for the first time in a while, she listened to what I wanted and made it look beautiful. She is kind and skilled and a great hairdresser, I can’t wait to go back !!”
“I have been going to Kathy since I moved to San Diego over 10 years ago. First off, she is simply a nice person - always friendly and pleasant. Second, her skills are second to none - top notch.”
“I absolutely LOVE getting my hair done with Jamie. It’s hard for me to trust people with my hair and since the first time I went with Jamie about 3 years ago I trusted her immediately.”

good to know
- Can I request a specific stylist?
- Yes. Many clients here return to the same stylist appointment after appointment, and you're welcome to ask for someone by name when you book.
- How do you handle a big color change, like going lighter or trying balayage for the first time?
- It starts with a consultation about your current color, hair condition, and how much upkeep you want, and often happens in stages so the hair stays healthy through the process rather than rushing it in one visit.
- I have curly or textured hair — can you work with that?
- Cuts and treatments here are planned around how your specific hair behaves, curl pattern included, rather than a one-size approach. Tell your stylist how you actually wear it day to day and they'll work from there.
