What we work on
- 01
Full detail
Check-engine light, strange noise, or a car that just feels off — we scan it, drive it, and find the actual cause before quoting anything.
- 02
Brakes
Pads, rotors, and calipers inspected and measured, with the worn parts set aside so you can see exactly what's being replaced.
- 03
Oil & fluids
Oil, coolant, brake fluid, and transmission fluid checked and serviced on the schedule your car actually needs, not a flat mileage rule.
- 04
Engine repair
From a misfire to a timing issue, we diagnose the failure first and explain what's involved before any engine work starts.
- 05
AC service
Warm air instead of cold, weak airflow, or a strange smell from the vents — we check the system and find where it's actually losing performance.
- 06
Batteries & electrical
Slow starts, dead batteries, and electrical gremlins traced to the actual wire or component instead of a swapped-part guess.
Our
standards
- 01Worn parts shown to you, not just described
- 02Diagnosis comes before any estimate
- 03Urgent versus can-wait, explained honestly
See it before it's sold
We show you the failed part before it's replaced, whenever the repair allows it.
Diagnosis before price
You get an explanation of the cause before you get a number for the fix.
No repair by default
If a part isn't at its wear limit yet, we tell you that instead of replacing it anyway.
We show you the worn part before we replace it
Sharp Aym Detailing is a San Diego repair shop built around one habit: nothing gets fixed until you've seen why it needs fixing. A worn pad, a cracked hose, a code on the scanner — you look at it, we explain what it means and what happens if it waits. Some repairs are urgent and some can ride a few more months; we tell you which is which instead of treating every job the same. The goal is a car you understand a little better every time you leave, not just a bill.

Say what you want done
Interior, exterior, paint correction, a coating — and a few photos of the car as it is now.
Get the price after they see it
Condition decides the work. A real price comes after the car has been looked at.
The detail gets done
What was agreed, at the price that was agreed. Anything extra gets asked about first.
Walk around it together
Look it over in good light before you drive away. That's the moment to point at anything.
Before you book a detail
Four things worth knowing — whoever details your car
Ask these of anyone quoting your car — us included.
Know what the package means
A “full detail” means different things in different places. Ask what's included, inside and out.
Polish isn't paint correction
One hides light swirls for a while; the other removes defects. Ask which one you're paying for.
Ask what a coating really does
Ceramic coatings protect paint and make washing easier — they don't make it scratch-proof. Ask what the care routine is.
Ask how long it takes
A thorough detail can take hours. Knowing up front helps you plan the day.

Questions
How do I know if a repair is urgent or can wait?
We tell you plainly which category a repair falls into based on what we find during diagnosis — a worn part near its limit versus one that's already failing changes the timeline, and we explain the difference rather than pushing everything as immediate.
Will you explain what's actually wrong, or just hand me a bill?
Diagnosis comes first, and we walk you through what we found — the code, the worn part, the test result — before quoting the fix. The estimate is built from what's actually wrong with your car, not a standard menu price.
How does scheduling work?
Call or book online and we'll get your car on the schedule; if something sounds urgent based on what you describe, we'll say so and work out timing from there rather than making you wait through a fixed queue.
