Design, planting, and irrigation work for La Mesa yards that are tired of dead grass and drip lines that don't drip anymore. Call and we'll walk the yard with you.
A full look at planting, soil, and irrigation together, so the fix addresses why the yard struggles, not just how it looks today.
We walk the property, note what's thriving, what's struggling, and where water is running off instead of soaking in. Then we build a plan that ties planting choices to the irrigation feeding them — swapping thirsty turf for drought-tolerant beds, correcting drip lines, and regrading the spots where water pools or runs off before it does any good.
02
02Drought-tolerant planting
California natives and Mediterranean plants that hold color through a La Mesa summer without a daily hose.
We select plants suited to this county's dry season and thin soil — sage, ceanothus, salvias, succulents, and grasses that flower without heavy irrigation. Planting is grouped by water need so nothing gets over- or under-watered by accident, and beds are mulched right after to hold moisture and cut down on weeds.
03
03Irrigation & drip conversion
Converting spray heads to drip lines that put water at the root instead of on the sidewalk.
Old spray systems throw water past the root zone and lose a lot of it to wind and runoff. We convert beds to drip line and emitters sized to each plant, cap off heads that no longer serve a plant, and check the controller's schedule against what's actually planted so the timing matches the yard, not last year's landscaping.
04
04Monthly maintenance
Ongoing care — pruning, weeding, mulching, and a check on the irrigation — so the yard doesn't slide back between visits.
Maintenance visits cover pruning for shape and plant health, weeding before it seeds, refreshing mulch where it's thinned, and a look at the irrigation to catch a broken emitter or a stuck valve early. The same crew returns each visit so changes in the yard get noticed, not missed.
05
05Hardscape & pathways
Pavers, gravel paths, and small retaining walls that hold a slope and give a yard somewhere to walk.
Hardscape work is set on a properly prepared base — compacted road base under pavers, edging to keep gravel paths from migrating, and drainage considered before any stone goes down. On sloped La Mesa lots, small retaining structures are built to hold soil in place rather than just dress up a hillside.
06
06Clean-ups & hauling
Overgrown beds, dead shrubs, and yard debris cleared out and hauled away in one visit.
A clean-up clears dead plant material, cuts back overgrowth, and removes yard waste from the property — useful before a sale, after a season of neglect, or ahead of a bigger planting project so the crew is starting from bare, workable ground.

We walk the yard before we touch a shovel
Superior Quality Landscaping works on the ground, not from a brochure. Every yard in La Mesa carries the same math: sun most of the year, water that costs more than it used to, and soil that doesn't forgive guesswork. We look at what's already growing, what's dying, and where the irrigation is wasting water before we recommend anything. Some yards need a redesign. Others need the sprinkler heads swapped for drip and the dead corners replanted with something that wants to live here. We tell you which one you've got before we quote it.

How a job runs, start to finish
01
Walk the yard together
Point at what you want changed. Ten minutes outside beats an hour of description.
02
Agree the scope and the price
What's included, what gets hauled away, what it costs — settled before tools come off the truck.
03
The work gets done
On the day you set, the way you agreed. Weather can move a date; it shouldn't move the price.
04
Walk it again before they leave
The cleanup is part of the job. Say so while the crew is still there.
Before you hire anyone
Four flags worth knowing — whoever you call
Ask these of anyone bidding your job — us included. A good answer costs nothing; a bad one saves you the whole mistake.
01
A price before anyone's seen the job
Real quotes come after eyes on the work. A number over the phone is a number that changes.
02
Nothing in writing
Scope, price, and who buys materials — settled before work starts, on paper or in a text thread.
03
Pressure to start today
Good operators are booked. Same-hour availability with a discount attached is its own answer.
04
No paper trail on payment
However you pay, there should be a record of what was agreed and what was done.
01
Walk the yard first
We assess soil, sun, and existing irrigation before recommending any plant or system change.
02
Water where the roots are
Irrigation work is designed around each plant's actual water need, not a single blanket schedule.
03
Plants suited to the climate
We prioritize drought-tolerant and native species that hold up through a La Mesa dry season.
01Will you tell me if my yard just needs irrigation fixed, not a redesign?
Yes. We look at the whole picture first — soil, existing plants, and how the irrigation is running — before recommending anything. Sometimes the fix is a drip conversion and better scheduling, not new planting.
02Can you work with the plants I already have?
Often, yes. We assess what's healthy and worth keeping before suggesting removal. Struggling plants sometimes just need better-matched irrigation rather than replacement.
03How do you schedule a quote visit?
Call and describe the yard and what's bothering you about it. We schedule a walk-through to see the site directly, since soil, slope, and sun exposure vary block to block.

Yes. You own your site and your domain. Cancel anytime, keep everything. If you ever leave, we hand it all over, free. That's the deal in one sentence, and it's printed at checkout too.
Can I get my money back?+
On the $0-today plan there's nothing to get back at first: nothing is charged for 30 days, so cancel before then and you pay nothing. After that you can cancel anytime; a month already billed isn't refunded. If you paid $299 to launch instead, that $299 is refundable for 30 days, no questions asked.
What's the monthly fee for?+
It's $59 a month (or $49 if you paid $299 to launch), and it covers hosting, security, and unlimited edits to the pages you have: a new phone number, new prices, new photos, new wording. Email us and we make the change, with no hourly billing. New pages, like a page for another town you serve, are optional add-ons, and you see the price before you buy.
How did you get my information?+
From public records and your public Google listing. The records are your state contractor license (the CSLB publishes it), your city or county business registry, and Overture Maps, an openly licensed map dataset. Your Google listing gives us things like your hours, photos, rating and reviews; ratings and reviews appear as they do on Google, with attribution, never edited or invented. The words on the site are ours, written from those facts, so tell us anything we got wrong and we fix it. Your email came from a business-data company we pay; we don't run software that scrapes websites for addresses. We've never sold or shared the list, and we're not going to.
