What we work on

  • 01

    Diagnostics

Before any repair gets quoted, the car goes up and you get shown what's actually failing and why.

  • 02

    Brakes

Pads, rotors, and calipers inspected and replaced, with the worn parts set aside so you can see what came off.

  • 03

    Engine repair

From a rough idle to a full rebuild, worked through methodically with the actual cause identified first.

  • 04

    Oil & fluids

Oil, coolant, transmission and brake fluid checked and changed on a schedule that matches how the car is actually driven.

  • 05

    AC service

Recharge, leak checks, and compressor work to get cold air back before the next hot stretch.

  • 06

    Smog & inspection

Testing and the repair work to pass it, handled by the same shop instead of bouncing between two.

01The shop

The shop with your name painted on the wall

Universal Radiator and Automotive works out of a shop with its own name spray-painted across the facade in bold hand-lettering, the kind of sign you point out to someone in the car. Inside it runs the way a neighborhood garage should: a car comes in, someone puts it on the lift, and you get told plainly what's wrong before anything gets fixed. Customers have described the shop as straightforward with people who aren't car people, and that's the standard the counter holds itself to. Whether it's a warning light or a wheel bearing that's been getting worse for months, the plan comes from what's actually under the car, not a guess.

Questions

Will you explain what's actually wrong with my car?

Yes — the car goes on the lift and the specific part or issue gets pointed out to you directly. A recent reviewer noted the shop is welcoming and clear even for someone who doesn't know cars well, which is the intent behind that step.

How do you decide what needs fixing now versus later?

After the diagnosis, we separate what's actively failing from what's simply worn and can wait, so you're not pressured into fixing everything at once. You get the full picture and decide what to schedule first.

Can you get my car through a smog check and fix what fails?

Yes, testing and the repair work both happen here, so if a car doesn't pass, we address whatever specifically caused that instead of sending you elsewhere for the fix.

Universal Radiator and Automotive’s website is built and ready

It's built, and it can go live on your own domain. See something you'd change? A service, a photo, a sentence: tell us and we change it, before launch and after.

Launch this website: $0 today

$0 today · $59/mo from day 30 · cancel online any time · or pay $299 once and $49/mo (refundable for 30 days)

What happens after you launch

  1. TodayYou pay nothing. The site is live within the minute at its own address; the receipt has the link.
  2. Same dayWe connect your domain with you, wherever it lives (GoDaddy, Squarespace, anywhere), or register one in your name for $25/yr.
  3. Any timeEmail a change in plain English, like new prices or new photos, and we make it. No limit on edits, no hourly billing. New pages are optional extras.
  4. 30 daysNot for you? Cancel online before day 30 and you never pay a cent. Keep it, and the $59/mo starts then. We email you before the first charge.

Before you decide

Do I actually own the site?

Yes. You own your site and your domain. Cancel anytime, keep everything. If you ever leave, we hand it all over, free. That's the deal in one sentence, and it's printed at checkout too.

Can I get my money back?

On the $0-today plan there's nothing to get back at first: nothing is charged for 30 days, so cancel before then and you pay nothing. After that you can cancel anytime; a month already billed isn't refunded. If you paid $299 to launch instead, that $299 is refundable for 30 days, no questions asked.

What's the monthly fee for?

It's $59 a month (or $49 if you paid $299 to launch), and it covers hosting, security, and unlimited edits to the pages you have: a new phone number, new prices, new photos, new wording. Email us and we make the change, with no hourly billing. New pages, like a page for another town you serve, are optional add-ons, and you see the price before you buy.

How did you get my information?

From public records and your public Google listing. The records are your state contractor license (the CSLB publishes it), your city or county business registry, and Overture Maps, an openly licensed map dataset. Your Google listing gives us things like your hours, photos, rating and reviews; ratings and reviews appear as they do on Google, with attribution, never edited or invented. The words on the site are ours, written from those facts, so tell us anything we got wrong and we fix it. Your email came from a business-data company we pay; we don't run software that scrapes websites for addresses. We've never sold or shared the list, and we're not going to.
